David was one of LE’s
fastest sprinters in the late 80’s. During his time at LEHS, the LE Boys
Track Team won the league 4 straight years, 1986-1989. He as captain of the
team in 1989. He was All SML in track six times and also twice All Central
District. He qualifed to the state twice in the 1600 relay, 1988 and 1989.
In addition he played football at LE. He was All Pickaway County 1st
team 1989 and 1st team All MSL Football 1987 and 1988.
College
David is a graduate of
West Liberty State College, West Liberty, WV. While at West Liberty he
played football for 4 years receiving special mention All League his junior
year.
Presently
David has been a
supervisor at Roadway Express Trucking Company for the last 14 years. He is
about to change jobs and will be moving back into the Columbus area this
summer.
Family
David has been married to
his wife, Rebecca, for 13 years. They have three children, Blake 11, Megan
9, and Silas 1 ½ .

Matt continued to play baseball after high school at Tiffin
University from 1992-1995. He was Tiffin University’s first baseball NAIA
All American his freshman year. He earned 3 first team All District and All
Mid Ohio Conference honors over his career re-writing the offensive record
books in the process. Matt set eight season and career records including
home runs, runs batted in, runs scored and batting average. He earned a
degree in Criminal Justice.
In 2005 Matt was inducted into the Tiffin University
Athletic Hall of Fame.
Family
Matt is married to Shae Massengill Miga. They currently
reside in Cold Waters, Tennessee.

College
Brad played 1 year of varsity football as a “walk on” while
attending Urbana University. He earned a starting position 5 games into the
season as a strong safety and punt return man. His career was cut short
with a foot injury. He received a varsity letter, was 5th on the
team in tackles (56), and player of the week for “special teams”.
Presently
Brad is currently teaching 7th grade science at
Burnett Middle School in Tampa, Florida. He is pursuing a Masters Degree in
Educational Leadership at the University of South Florida. He is actively
coaching Jr. High football and track.

| SETH DRIESBACH
CLASS OF 1976 |

The Award of
Merit was established to recognize individuals who have made
extraordinary contributions to benefit Logan Elm Athletics.
Seth Driesbach is
the recipient for 2008.
Community
honoree, Seth Driesbach, is a 1976 graduate of Logan Elm High School
and an eight Varsity letter winner while participating in Varsity
Football, Track and Wrestling at LE.
Seth was an assistant Coach for McDowell football 1977-79.
He assisted in starting Logan Elm Pee Wee Football. He coached 5th
and 6th grade Pee Wee Football from 1980-1985 and again
in 1988-90.
He has been a long time supporter of LE football donating
his time in running the scoreboard and P.A. for Varsity football
games. Seth has also given his time to take pictures of the Senior
football players at football games for Coach Smith.
Seth has volunteered as an assistant coach for Washington
Little League Baseball and Softball from 1990-1996. |
Seth has set two National shooting records one in 1987 and
one in 1988 in the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association. He has
received 4 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals over years in the National
Muzzleloading Rifle Association. He was a Volunteer Fireman for Clearcreek
Fire Department from 1984-1996 and served as a Fire chief from 1992-93.
He currently owns his own photography business, “Seth
Driesbach Photography” on Ringgold Southern Road.
Seth has been married for 30 years to Karen Ewing Driesbach,
class of 1975, and they have two children. Daughter Andrea Driesbach
Miller, class of 1998, and her husband Bryan and their son Logan. Son A.J.
Driesbach, class of 2001, and his wife Jennifer. His parents are Ron and
Kay Driesbach. |
